ENGINEERING TECH/QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for the process of addressing quality concerns, maintaining the documentation system, and monitoring compliance with standard operating procedures, and ISO/GMP. SPECIFIC DUTIES:(Essential Functions)- Monitors Quality issues, identifies actions needed to correct, highlights issues to management and drives corrections.- Maintains and controls the documentation system- Investigates and performs failure analysis on customer complaints.- Represents Quality Assurance in MRB activities; identifies and drives issues to root cause resolution.- Monitors compliance with standard operating procedures and ISO/QSR requirements. JOB LEVEL:Intermediate level. Applies job skills and company policies and procedures to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:- Must have experience in the use and application of Sampling Plans (Mil-std 105E).- Engineering Tech, Quality Assurance or Specialist- Must have experience using MS Applications - Proficient with MS Excel- Requires 3-5 years of QA / Process Engineering experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:- Requires knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and FDA QSR regulation- Requires an understanding of dimensioning and geometric tolerancing.- PC based computer skills, spreadsheets, word processing, databases desired.- Must have ability to process, analyze and present data.- Excellent oral and written communication skills required. SUPERVISION:Normally receives minimal or no instruction on routine work; general instructions on new assignments. Works under minimal supervision. EQUIPMENT USED IN POSITION:Personal computer, keyboard, laser printer, photocopier, fax machine, caliper and other measuring devices, telephone, typewriter, word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail. Positions will include:
QA/QC Techs to run tests; with an eagerness to work their way up the ladder.
BS in Food Science. Must have baked goods/dessert/pastry/bread industry experience.
QA Managers with industry experience working with fresh cuts of meat; ability to take charge and revamp the QA department. BS in Food Science or related. 2 years experience with meat and knowledge of the cuts of meat. Experience with Audits including AIB, USDA, Silliker
Regulatory Specialist with extensive FDA/USDA regulation experience in order to analyze and interpret regulatory laws. 8 years of food industry experience.
Must have strong food labeling experience.

Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly work and alignment on diversified sub-assemblies, including troubleshooting and rework
Strong communication skills with engineers and other Departments
Work with minimal supervision
Participates in maintaining and improving process and output
Able to effectively multi-task and handle a wide variety of tasks
Use of small hand tools to strip, bend, fasten and connect parts, tasks require a high level of skill with a variety of hand tools and precision measuring equipment
Use of power meters, light source, calibration tools
Perform optical-mechanical alignment, correct alignment of optics components
Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly work, including troubleshooting and rework
Must understand the functional operation of the items assembled as well as the finished product
Must be able to work from complex and detailed manufacturing documentation and follow both written and verbal instructions
Test systems at various steps in the manufacturing process to meet product specifications
Updates production records and test results, communicates clearly with engineers to identify non-conformances
Technicians are responsible for some quality activities, including inspection
Participate in maintaining and improving process and output
